BRP RECOGNISED FOR ITS PRODUCT DESIGN
Iconic Ski-Doo snowmobile and newly minted Can-Am roadster receive nods at red dot design award ceremony.Valcourt, Québec, July 9, 2008 – BRP, an established world leader in innovation in the powersports industry, receives at this year's red dot award in Essen, Germany, a bronze award for the product design of the REV-XP chassis for its Ski-Doo snowmobiles and an honourable mention for its new Can-Am Spyder roadster, a three-wheel vehicle designed to experience the thrill of the open road. "We always strive to be the ones who set new benchmarks and industry trends," said Denys Lapointe, executive vice-president, Design & Innovation. "Innovation is our priority and these recognitions acknowledge BRP's continuing efforts in creativity and innovation and are a great international window to promote our search of talented designers." The red dot is an internationally recognised quality label for excellent design. Outstanding design is selected in the international design competition ‘red dot design award’ by competent expert juries in the fields of product design, communication design, and design concepts. BRP believes that innovation changes life by making it more exciting and it is committed to keeping Design & Innovation at the very core of the company's growth. To that effect, the Company will inaugurate in 2008 a 3,900 square meter Design and Innovation Centre in Valcourt, Québec, where its corporate headquarters, R & D, as well as the administrative offices and manufacturing facilities for its Ski-Doo snowmobiles, Sea-Doo watercraft and Can-Am Spyder roadsters, are located. |
