Find a Riding Buddy 24/7 with Ride Connection PDF Print E-mail

Have you ever wanted to go snowmobiling, but had no one to ride with?

Ever wanted to ride someplace new, but didn’t know the trails?

Wanted to find new riding buddies?

Have you ever wanted to meet other snowmobiling families?

As part of our commitment to the Go Snowmobiling Campaign, Snow Goer Canada and Snowmobiler TV have partnered to answer all these questions and more. We’ve called it “Ride Connection” and it’s oh, so easy to use. Simply visit rideconnection.ca. The Ride Connection site is the place for snowmobilers to post the trail rides they are going to do, the trail rides they want to do, and to hook up with other snowmobilers. It’s also the place where snowmobile clubs can list their trail rides and other ride-in events. Ride Connection participants link directly with one another and make your own arrangements. Best of all, Ride Connection is FREE.

Snow Goer Canada and Snowmobiler TV are well aware of recent surveys that say many riders are looking for people to ride with. We also hear that some snowmobilers have stopped riding because they didn’t have anyone to ride with anymore. And we also know that many snowmobilers are looking to participate in more social events and to take part in more adventures. So last winter, we tested out the Ride Connection concept.

Avid biker and long time snowmobiler, Glenn Healy, told us a similar idea was already working very well for the motorcycle community. Intrigued by the possibilities, we scheduled a casual day ride with Glenn and fifteen snowmobilers showed up. Glenn later organized several other successful follow up rides. As a simple way to encourage more folks to go snowmobiling, Ride Connection seemed to be just the ticket! So Snow Goer Canada and Snowmobiler Television decided to get behind Ride Connection and spread the word as part of the Go Snowmobiling Campaign this winter. Thanks for your help, Glenn!

Ride Connection is an easy way to meet new friends and go snowmobiling on open snowmobile trails maintained by local clubs. It’s all about having some fun…and no more complicated than that. Ride Connection doesn’t involve guided rides, formalities or structure. It’s just a bunch of snowmobilers agreeing to meet at a certain time and place to go for a ride. What they do, how they do it and where they go and who goes is up to the participants to decide. For the record, both Snow Goer Canada and Snowmobiler Television endorse and support buying a trail permit before entering any club trail.

Most riders would agree that it’s the people you meet who make snowmobiling so enjoyable. Now Ride Connection makes hooking up even easier. Most snowmobilers think that winter is too short to miss any ride. Now Ride Connection puts you in touch with as many rides as you want. Many snowmobilers have trouble finding riding buddies during the week. Now Ride Connection links you to other weekday sledders. Looking for a spur of the moment ride? Ride Connection can help you into the saddle today. So check it out at www.rideconnection.ca…and go snowmobiling, eh!
